BvH Annual “Killer Mile” – 16th July 2015

Bournville Harriers’ annual Killer Mile race will take place at 7:45pm on Thursday, 16th July. The race is a mile long and almost entirely uphill – but don’t let that put you off, it’s a great club tradition for all members!

The race starts at the bottom of Clare Hill with the finish conveniently located right by the Peacock Inn.

If you wish to take part, please register on the night at the Peacock car park (Icknield Street, B38 0EH). The race is free to enter and people will be meeting at the top of the hill from around 7pm. There will be no official club training on the night.

THE START LINE IS 1 MILE FROM THE MEETING POINT, SO PLEASE ARRIVE WITH PLENTY OF TIME TO JOG DOWN THE HILL TO BEGIN THE RACE.

  1. Yay depending on my rehab for this injury i may be ok to run 1 mile slow by then 🙂

  2. Loved this last year! I hate the hill but love the team spirit 🙂 Bring on this year!

  3. Yes,THE KILLER MILE is a great Club tradition, and I have invariably enjoyed the happening, both as a runner and a marshall. However, any risk assessment (yes, even a `private`Club Race/Run) would suggest that there needed to be a sufficient number of marshalls in the vicinity of the Start,Finish and at Road Junctions.Furthermore, a generous display of CAUTION RUNNERS notices would enhance the safety and well being of all concerned. Most years the organisation has been first rate.
