In 2016 we announced that the club would be twinned with Newbridge Athletic Club based in the town of Newbridge, Co. Kildare. Newbridge was founded in 1947 and caters for the full range of track and field events and for all age groups from Juvenile to Masters.
The purpose of the twinning arrangement is to foster friendships between our communities, provide opportunities for members to travel to each others races and to share ideas and good practice. We welcome suggestions from club members as to how we can take the relationship between the clubs forward.
Members of both clubs can find out more about events for both clubs on the Twinned Running Clubs Group on Facebook. The next event is the Stourbridge Stumble in August 2018 when Bournville will be hosting Newbridge for the first time.
