The clocks have gone back and that leaves just a couple of months left to register a time on the Performance Leaderboard, where we track the fastest three performances across popular road distances. Along with Paul Coughlan‘s recent table-topping marathon performance, Richard Bayliss now leads the Men’s 10k table with his PB performance in the Leeds Abbey Dash at the weekend. In the women’s Leaderboard, recent PBs have seen Kate Green top the women’s marathon podium, and put Maeve Kenny in second place on the parkrun list. With a couple of fast races in the calendar over the next two months, will we see any change at the top of the tables?
It seems that barely a week passes at the moment without one of the Club Records falling, including the aforementioned PBs from Paul Coughlan and Rich Bayliss breaking their respective Age Category records. Pauline Wright set the WV60 Club Marathon record in Inverness with a superb PB, and Jaeda Goodman‘s PB in York also puts her on the Marathon record list in the WV45 category. Donato Esposito joined Paul in earning an England vest with an excellent performance in Chester, and also gained him the MV55 Club Marathon record! Recent performances indicate that with the right race, Donato could even take the club MV55 Half Marathon record which has stood since 2012. This would see him join Dave Ellis, who has recently ‘done the double’ by securing both the MV60 Half-Marathon record in Cheltenham and following that with an MV60 Club Marathon record in York last weekend!
Records and Rankings are updated approximately once per month. If you think we’ve missed a record-breaking performance or one that should be on the leaderboard, please check on Power of 10 first and then email Stacey Marston detailing your result. Attention has turned to ‘the Country’ but there are still a number of opportunities left to break one of the road records or add your name to the Performance Leaderboard in 2019!
