Lesley Pymm reports: This was the second event in the Spring Treble and, on another windy evening, we all hung around on Milford Common trying not too get too cold. There seemed to be fewer runners there than last week at the first event in the series – they must be saving themselves for London!
This is a good run on decent paths. The start and finish are the most difficult parts of the event. We climb up onto Cannock Chase and then drop down onto forest paths. There are two laps of the path and then we climb back out of the Chase and the downhill finish, which is not a good as it sounds as there are a lot of loose stones and you do have to take care.
The ground was very dry all the way round, and we were fairly shealtered from the wind. It just occasionally caught us and we got a blast as it came over the Chase.
I was a little slower than last year, but it was windy and I did race the day before, so I’m not compaining.
I have an alibi.It wasn`t me!
Well done Lesley, milford murder!!Im guessing the name is because its a tough course sounds hilly work and in the wind too.
