Rob Andrew on our final x-c race for the year: The Men’s Birmingham and District Cross Country Final league race this Saturday is on ‘home turf’ at Cofton at 2:30pm.
It would be great to see as many runners there as possible on what should be agreat day for the club. Any male 1st claim members can race, but please note you must wear a club vest.
I’ll be around the Bournville club tent until 1:30 to register you for the race and distribute numbers. We must declare the full list of runners by the 2pm deadline, but I aim to do this by 1:45 so we can warm-up and watch the start of the ladies race.
After the race there will be some presentations by the league, and we’ll then need to help the marshalls dissemble the course. The plan is then to go to the Hare and Hounds pub next to the park where hopefully friends, family and other competitors can join us for a drink.
The whole event on Saturday was brilliant, from the members competing to the members and their families marshalling and providing catering services. I feel that it show we can host events and hopefully we will be able to host some even higher profile events in the future which can only be a good thing for the club.
And watch out division one, were back!!!
ASa supporter what a super day i was impressed with the turn out of not only the ladies , men but the backroom staff marshals tea/coffee makers and supporters . the final results for both were great as far as the men go good luck in divis one

What a great day – weather was kind to us, organisation seamless, the course seemed to go down well with the competitors Sprog and I spoke to, and of course, topped off with the fantastic results! Well done to all concerned.
Great photos Paul 🙂
Tamara, hope the metal detector was a success XX

Hi as you may know I lost 3 rings ( wedding, engagement and eternity) on the course. I would be grateful if you could check your spikes in case any of them are stuck to thenm in the mud. If you are ever around the park could you please keep an eye out. I am going tomorrow with a metal detector (thanks sean) will keep you posted.
Many thanks for looking earlier and all your hugs
Tamara
Language Timothy.
I am looking forward to a day to remember for Bournville Harriers. Our `army of teal vests` will make their mark, and it is a wonderful opportunity to `show-case` the Club. All the very best to all (men and women) who represent BvH tomorrow in what should be a historic day in the BvH XC annals.
