This Saturday will see the best XC runners in the country descend on Cofton Park, training ground of BvHs own XC runners, in the most high calibre XC run in the UK.
As well as numerous junior races beginning at 11:05am, the senior women will be running at 11:51am and the senior men at 2:36pm.
From Bournville Harriers we have Nicola Sykes running in the senior womens race representing the county of Warwickshire and Matt Cook in the senior mens race representing the county of Suffolk.
This is a great opportunity to witness world class athletes on our doorstep as well as supporting our own class athletes competing with the best! We hope to see you at Cofton this Saturday!
It is great that Nicola Sykes,Matt Cook and Cat Ricketts, running for their respective counties, successfully completed the challenging and energy sapping Cofton XC Course on Saturday last.
Matt has made an encouraging return to the XC Scene and has played a significant part in Team BvH`s return to Division 1 of the Birmingham League.
Nicola`s high placing in the Inter-Counties XC Championships clearly demonstrates what a fine athlete she continues to be —– And what an encouragement to us all.
Former member Cat Ricketts will also be running for her adopted county, I’m sure she would appreciate BvH support 🙂
Alas,I will not be at Cofton Park with Nicola Sykes,Matt Cook and all the other UK based high calibre XC runners this Saturday.
I will be at the British Masters Indoor T&F Championships at Lee Valley,N London with high calibre track athletes.
I feel sure that Nicola and Matt will give a good account of themselves at the Inter-counties XC Champs at Cofton Park. If I hadn`t race commitments elsewhere,I would be watching the prestigious XC Event at Cofton. Nicola and Matt have been running well recently and deserve your support.
