Lesley Pymm reports from the Malvern 10k on a sunny Wednesday evening.
I had already entered this event (along with a 3 day event at the weekend) before the dates of the Tour were changed, which is why I ended up being the only one from BvH there last night. I did not do this last year and everyone else from the club said how good it was and that it was just my type of run – well, they were right!
There was perhaps a bit too much road for my preferences, but lots of off road, including hills and a bit of mud, and very well organised and marshalled. I really did enjoy it. There was a great atmosphere at the pub afterwards where free sausages (veggie included) were given to all runners. Certainly one for the diary next year – I hope it does not clash with the Tour again.
