Rachel Partridge reports: Terry Doherty reminded me that the Cobra 10k was on over the Bank Holiday. I thought, a few hills, yes I can give it a go, after running the leukaemia 10k a few weeks a go, which had some cheeky hills.
Scott, Maggie and myself decided to run the 10k and we were joined by Terry, Sue and Rachel Ward. The race was very well organised. Very well marshalled and very encouraging.
I had heard the last three miles were harder and that comment was not wrong…. As soon as I had hit three miles, straight away I was faced with a very steep hill, which lead to another and another. The race was mainly on road, just half a mile off road, were again you could see yet another hill in the distance, runners already had come across. The race finished within the Rugby club field and again people cheering you on to finish. Nice goodie bag.
I would definitely recommend this race and hopefully will be able to run it again next year.
