UPDATE – Greenspaces project needs your support

Caroline Harlan-Marks would welcome your support:

UPDATE: If people want to vote for Victoria School’s Green Spaces project, the phone number to call will be on the People’s Millions website from 9:00am 25th November.

Voting is open for the 25th November only 9:00am to midnight. You can vote up to 10 times, and it will cost you 10p each time.

A video about the project is going to be on ITV Central News on the 25th sometime between 6 and 6:30, and is likely to feature lots of kids being cute.

Caroline’s Original post: I am just starting my second year working at Victoria School in Northfield. (For those of you who don’t know the school, it’s on your right as you tackle the giant hill before the crossing in Northfield on the Harborne Hills route).

The school has bid for Big Lottery Funding to develop a mini Eden Project-style area within the school grounds that will allow children with disabilities and their families to enjoy the outdoors in a safe way.

The ‘Greenspaces’ project is now a 2010 finalist for the People’s Millions, and we need as many people as possible to vote for it to make this a reality for our children and families. I know that this project would have a huge impact on the lives and education of the children at Victoria School, and I hope that you’ll vote if you have the time and inclination. Please tell everyone you know!

The number will appear on the People’s Millions website (below) on 25 November. Calls cost 10p and you can vote up to 10 times.

Thanks in advance to all of you for your support.

  1. Thanks to all who took the time to vote, what a good bunch you all are. I’m keeping my fingers crossed today and the school will find out on the 6 o’clock news on itv tonight. Thanks again and I will leave you all alone now!

  2. Dave Harte has just kindly informed me that you can also vote up to 10 times from a mobile, not just from a landline. (Don’t know how much that will cost, just to warn you…) Thanks.

  3. Sorry, forgot to say that you have until midnight to vote (probably have said that before) 🙂
