UPDATE – Picnic in the Park now on 30th August 2pm

The Picnic in the Park arranged for this Sunday, 29th August, at 2pm WILL NOW TAKE PLACE ON MONDAY 30th.

Come along to Rowheath Park with your family, bring a picnic, and if you’re feeling energetic, take part in a game of rounders or football. Everyone welcome.

We’re planning to have a game of rounders (participation not compulsory!) and you are welcome to bring along a picnic to eat amongst friends and family in Rowheath Park for the afternoon. Everyone is welcome and it should be a lovely, unofficial end to the Summer season.

If the weather is poor, an announcement will be put on the website by 12 noon on Sunday. The picnic will now go ahead on Bank Holiday Monday.

  1. A big thank you to everyone who turned up. It was great fun and I’m glad we won the rounders match 🙂

  2. Really enjoyed this afternoon cheers everyone. Mel thank you for the little choccies

  3. Tough call. You can guarantee the sun will come out now and shine all afternoon unless you plan a BBQ :-). Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

  4. Picnic in the Park – POSTPONED

We have decided to postpone the picnic and rounders until tomorrow, Bank Holiday Monday at 2pm on Rowheath Park. It was a difficult decision as the weather is due to improve this afternoon. However, for anyone not playing rounders and hoping to enjoy a picnic, the grass will be wet and the wind quite strong. Hopefully things will improve for tomorrow and we really hope that you and your family will join us. Looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

  5. Sounds great – we’ll bring a football too (kids vs adults – will be more tiring than a Thursday rep session!)
