Men – Cheltenham

“Bad luck to the men’s cross country team today. The heroic effort saw us clawing back over 200 points in the final race, but we were 12 points short in the end, and so next season we are back in Division 2. Thanks to all those who raced, supported and helped out with the officiating over the season. And it’s not over yet – see you at the Nationals in a couple of weeks!” Paul Thompson, Mens XC captain.

  1. I fully concur with Deano`s comments re: the BvH Mens XC Team.. Deano`s personal contribution on the day was awesome;especially, when one considers the age categories of the various athletes/runners participating. His performance would have been respectable at international level. JL,I feel sure, would have been really proud of him.

  2. Well done to everyone who ran on Saturday. I feel that as a team we pulled together really well and every runner understood the importance of battle for the place in front. There were some excellent performances Matt Cook especially and I know that quite a few of you had sprint finishes for the line which is great to see.
I feel optimistic that we can achieve promotion next season but as Saturday showed it is so crucial to get as many runners as possible so we push other clubs back. We may not be the best but there is definitely strength in numbers.
Saturday was a day to be proud to be Bournville !!

  3. Both the BvH Mens XC Team + the BvH Ladies XC Team can hold their heads up high. Both individually and collectively `we` have performed well. All the competition, training, hard work and enthusiasm will give us an excellent springboard for the rest of 2015.

  4. brilliant work by both girls and boys you all tried hard . hard luck lads you gave it your all
