Helen Foot reports: Last Saturday we had a great turn out of fifteen women proudly wearing the teal colours at Wyken Croft Park, Coventry.
The course around Wyken Croft Park was muddy in places, undulating and consisted of two long laps and one smaller lap. However for those that ran the Intercounties at Cofton last weekend, a far easier course!
First in for BVH was Caroline putting in a sterling performance. Followed by Sara Roberts, who as a fairly new member of our squad is showing great promise.
Nicola was the next teal runner in, showing continued strong running after her excellent run at the Intercounties last weekend. Well done to all who ran, also of particular note Laura’s lovely cakes, welcome and well done to Fiona Heath-Brown we hope you will run with us again, a storming run from Becky Hampson and well done to Sarah Vince who is also showing great potential.
Many thanks to Sarah Rock for her pre-race super organisation and goody bags – we hope you are having a great time ski-ing. Also to Philomena and family, Sue Ward, Stuart Leslie and all our supporters around the course.
Looking forwards to the rest of the season, bring on the Midlands and the Nationals!

An encouraging report from Helen.A good turnout which provides a useful launch pad for the rest of the season.Good news travels fast and I heard about the excellent performances in a rain-soaked Cardiff the following day.`We` (Gareth) had tried to get earlier news on Face Book immediately following the Men`s XC,but were unsuccessful.
Participants in the cross country will reap further rewards when they run in the coming Spring/Summer.XC is a good foundation for other kinds of running, whether it be eg.on/off road or track.
A `GOOD DAY AT THE OFFICE` for Bournville Harriers, and not a bad way of celebrating the 10th Anniversary of the Club.
