Wentwood Trail 10K – 8 September 2019

Lesley Pymm reports: Another weekend that involved parkrun and then a race.  We did Severn Bridge parkrun on Saturday and then Wentwood Trail the following day.  There were a lot of the same people, so I felt that I had friends there.

The final race in the Chepstow Harriers series and I loved it.  This started at a tea room close to Wentwood Reservoir – with a distinct lack of loos!  Hopefully there will be portable loos next year.  It was a lovely trail race through the forest and I found it well signed and easy to navigate.  Some people did go wrong – but I had no problem.

It was undulating at times and there was a river crossing which was very welcome as it was so warm.  Lots of very supportive mashals.

At the finish there was a BBQ and the usual Chepstow Cakes.  What more can anyone want?
