Barrie Roberts Reports: I left my house at 4:30pm and arrived at Oxford just before 6pm – car park free after 6pm.
A very warm May evening (24C) greeted a record turnout of 52 runners. Always a good turn-out from local running clubs.
Course – 1-mile loop around the edge of Cutteslowe Park, Oxford (known as The Peace Mile). Mostly the surface is grass,however a short section is paved therefore spikes are not suitable.
All ages and abilities.First to cross the line was Matthew Rallison of Oxford City in a time of 10.01.First Lady was Chloe Ridewood of Abingdon in a time of 11.53. (Last home took twice as long). I completed my first 2 Mile Race of the year in a time of 15:10,and won my age cat.

PS.If you want to improve your leg speed,then these races may help. Attached runners £3 per race. Very low key, friendly and informal, but well organized. — and only an hours drive away from Bournville.
