Rich Bayliss at the Serveline Midlands League Division 1. By Olly Kirkland

In my recent blog, I neglected to draw attention to the achievements of Rich Bayliss at the Serveline Midlands League Division 1 fixture in Wolverhampton on Saturday 7th June. Rich posted incredible times of 2.03.7 in the 800m and 4.13.1 in the 1500m. As well as being massive PBs in these events, these two times put Rich at 2nd place in the club’s all time rankings over both distances (behind Rob Andrew). Bearing in mind that four years ago, Rich was running round Cannon Hill parkrun in 20 minutes, these performances demonstrate what is possible with dedication and determination. Now all we need is for Rich to be able to stay fit and transfer this form to the mud and snow when the Cross Country season comes around again. Well done, Rich!
