Paul Foot reports: A fine performance by the women’s team put them in the top half of the finishing teams – a fitting culmination to Helen’s tenure as team manager.
The men’s team was a select bunch of three. Steve streaked ahead, but there was little to choose between Chris Harlan-Marks and myself.
The course had a bit of everything, muddy in parts, firm in others, flat(tish) in parts but with an undulating portion and one sharp up and and one sharp down.
Support from Gareth (also on photography duties), Barrie, Katie and Stuart Leslie was top notch, as were Steve’s minibus skills and cake provided by Gareth, Laura, Nicola and Linda.
