UPDATE – National Road Relays (Ladies) – 9th April

Team Captain Rachel Ward declares the road relay teams for next Saturday: Race starts at 12.20 at Sutton Park, just like last time.

Ideally you need to be there by 11.30 to collect your number from myself and then sort yourself out for running. I will be there this time to cheer you all on.

There will be no doubt a number of people travelling on the train, I think its the 10.30 from Longbridge, then just a short walk (10 min ish) from the station to the park.

Let me know if your struggling to get there and need more information, I will have a full car what with mom and the dogs, but Im sure we can sort lifts for anyone if needed.

If there are any problems, you need to change to an earlier/later leg then let me know and we can sort that out. Also if you cant make it for whatever reason, illness or work etc (and it does happen so dont worry!) the just let me know as soon as possible so we can fill the space.

UPDATE: Sorry to have to say this but there has been a change to the teams again.

Cat and Emily have had to pull out so the 2nd and 3rd team has changed! Please check the list below to see the running order. Any problems, let me know (rachelnward1984@hotmail.co.uk).

  1. Sorry Barrie, I didn’t catch that, did you say a “tea of seal”?. I don’t think it’s allowed in this country. High in Omega3 though.

  4. Hi all,

    I’ll be getting the train at 10.32am from Longbridge, which calls at Northfield at 10.34am, Bournville at 10.39am and gets into Sutton Coldfield at 11:14am. I’ll be sat in the last carriage on the train.

    There is strike action planned on the trains this weekend but last time it didn’t affect us. I’ll keep an eye on it and send another email out if it looks like it will cause us problems.
