Sarah Rock reports: on an excellent turnout from the BvH
Ten brave BvH ladies braced themselves for the icy cold wind and set out to run the Midlands Counties race at Stafford Common. As always, the exposed common meant strong winds, but at least there was some sunshine to brighten the day. However, the mud and bogginess of the course was the worst I have ever known it and the unpredictability of the varied surfaces (ice, water, mud) combined with a few short sharp hills that were so muddy that even the downhills were treacherous, meant that I am forced to concede that this 8km course was worse than the Suicide Six! Probably did wonders for our core strength though! Well done and thanks to all those who ran, including those who battled through colds and flu.
