Ladies Road Relays 24th September 2011

A call to action by the BvH Ladies relay Team Manager, Rachel Ward…

This years Midland Ladies 4 stage road relays are being held at Sutton Park on Saturday 24th September.

The teams consist if 4 runners (teams decided by myself) each running just under 3 miles through Sutton Park.

For those of you who have not run before, it’s a fantastic event, with the perfect opportunity to get to know more of the club members.  It is also a BvH Grand Prix event so there are points available.

This year has seen a huge increase in the number of women who take part in the relays and we range in age and speed, so everyone is welcome to come along and try it!

If you are interested all you need to do is let me know via email rachelnward1984@hotmail.co.uk and I will sort the rest!

You will need to be at Sutton Park for approx 11.15 on the day, the first leg starts at 12 and the women’s event will be over by 1.30pm, followed by the men’s.

You must be a member of Bournville Harriers to run and the club pay the entry fees, but you need to make sure you are wearing a club vest, which can be purchased from Rachel Partridge. More details will be emailed closer to the date of you agree to run.

If you need anymore information then please do not hesitate to email me, talk to me at the club or approach any of the other ladies who usually run, they will all be happy to talk to you.

So far, those that I know can run are:

Lizzy, Fiona, Laura, Nicola C, Nicola M, Kathryn H, Lesley P, Becky H and Caroline.

If I’ve missed anyone off the list please can you let me know as soon as possible.

CLOSING DATE for emailing me your details is Saturday 10th September. Teams will be entered Sunday.

Thanks, Rachel

  1. With it being the same day as the JW Ultra which a number of our ladies are involved in and having pretty much a team move away we wont have as many runners as usual. Its just bad timing I’m afraid!

  2. Come on everyone – we can get more teams out than this. Let’s really advertise BvH as a local club that caters for all adults of all ages and abilites and knows how to enjoy themselves!
