The Killer Mile is an annual fixture in the BvH calendar, featuring a one mile race to the top of a hill where the incentive to reach the finish line is the welcome sight of The Peacock Inn at Forhill. As always there were some strong performances for the 2019 edition, and improvements for many on previous years. 42 runners took part this year and it was great to see some first timers in the list of results. Hannah Guest added to the excitement by joining in on her horse, Magic!
Huge thanks to Sue Ward, our Race Director, assisted once again by Rachel Partridge, who co-ordinated the marshals and Martin Foster who managed the results and Pete Hickman for the photographs. Thanks to all those who volunteered and supported on the night and well done to all the runners!
The prize winners were:
- King of the Hill – Henry Brocklehurst
- Queen of the Hill – Monica Baptista
- Prince of the Hill – Mat Pollard
- Princess of the Hill – Rhian Littlewood
Spot prizes were awarded to Miriam Stevens, Clare Bradley, Eden Smalley and Dave Powner and the raffle prize race entry was won by Allan Green*
*Apologies for anything I missed in this Race Report; it turns out that being present at an event rather than piecing things together from the results and photos helps to report on them ^Stacey!
