Free talk for BvH members on Sports Injuries, by Dr. Leon Creaney and Emma Batchelor from the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham – Mon 15th July, 6pm.

Dr Creaney is a Consultant Physician in the Medical Speciality of Sport & Exercise Medicine. He trained in the London Deanery at various locations including the Olympic Medical Institute, The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, The Royal London Hospital, Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre (DMRC) Headley Court and the Department of Health (DH). His main sports medicine interest lies with Track & Field and he has acted as a Team and Event doctor for UKA since 2005, as well as running the endurance clinic in 2009. Emma Batchelor is a Consultant Physiotherapist and has extensive NHS experience covering a wide range of clinical specialities and has a Masters degree in Manipulative Physiotherapy. She has worked with the England netball team and was their lead physiotherapist for seven years. Emma also has experience working for the English Institute of Sport as a physiotherapist for GB Women’s hockey team.
