Lesley Pymm on the third event in this mid-week series put on by Droitwich AC.
It was a road 10k – which most people will know is not my favourite surface – but I thought I had better do it as you have to do three out of the four events to count in the series, and the final one is the day I come home from Scotland, so I may decide that I don’t want to run that evening.
At least by doing this event I have kept my options open. Having said that, I actually enjoyed it. It was along very quiet roads with very little traffic and much of what there was seemed to be associated with the run.
It was undulating – but I always prefer that as a hill gives something to work on and then there is the downhill to give the legs a bit of a stretch. Oddly the run was only distance marked at 3k intervals, so that was a bit weird. So a good event, more SiS energy drinks/gels etc.
