Lesley Pymm reports: Like the Parkrun, the Centurion Grand Prix series gives runners the opportunity to test themselves over the same course a number of times over the winter.
I have to admit that this was the first time I had run it since 2005 because there have been other events on that clashed. I had a free Sunday and decided to go along and enter – and was very pleased that I did as I won a token in the WM55 category and also got a bottle of wine in the draw!
Caroline H-M was second woman in 32.15. Chris H-M was just behind her on 32.49. Sharon Weldon took 44.51 and I took 47.33. It is a friendly event with supportive marshals and a lovely atmosphere afterwards at the presentations.

Caroline takes the club record for Senior Females, pushed along by Chris, who also gets a pretty good time….. What a team!
No world records,on this occasion, but some solid runs by BvHers.Well done to all concerned. — And it can be useful to compare your times over the same course from time to time. However,as my friend MF might say ,there are variables, such as the weather, which can effect the finishing times.
