BvH Killer Mile on 23rd June

Bournville Harriers will be staging their annual BvH Killer Mile time trial at Clare Hill, near the Peacock Pub on Thursday 23nd June at 7.45pm.

If you want to take part in this lovely scenic and rather uphill 1 mile race then you need to meet at the Peacock Pub on Forhill, Weatheroak (B38 0EH). There is no cost to enter the race but you do have to be a paid up member of BVH.

Meet at the Peacock from 7pm, you will need to register and collect a number (bring your own pins!). It is a 10 min jog to the start (ideal warm up), you will need to have left the pub car park by 7.30 at the latest and be at the start ready to go at 7.45 prompt!

If you dont fancy running, then a few marshalls are needed, please let Steve James know if you can help out. Or, just join us for a drink afterwards!

If you have any questions then please see any of the committee members down the club, or email us.

  1. Oscar and Milo will be available – at a very reasonable fee, of course – if anyone needs a pull up the hill 🙂

  2. Hi Bournville Runners,

I was wondering could someone mind driving me up to the peacock from Harbourne tomorrow for the killer mile race at 7pm please.

I have quite a bit of experience with racing but it’s me struggling to find and transport myself up to the location.

As I’ve said if anyone could collect me from ether Harbourne or Selly Oak (whatever suits them). Thanks from Dan

  3. A wonderful BvH `happening.`You can be as competitive as you like! Whether you are racing/jogging,marshalling or just watching (and I have done all three) ,this is an evening not to be missed. The Peacock Pub provides adequate `recovery facilities`;food, drink, seating, shelter and toilets.Car Park is adjacent/opposite the Pub.

PS.If you want your dog(s) to compete, then they will have to be paid up members of BvH and run in Club vests, and of course register and collect a number.
